We are seeking caring, compassionate and enthusiastic volunteers to be trained as Carer Support volunteers at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, to assist parents and carers whilst their children are in hospital.

Do you have excellent communication and/or customer service skills and able to trouble shoot as needed? We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about helping our families, who attend The Bandaged Bear Outpatients at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, to have a positive and seamless patient journey in relation to their outpatient appointment.

The co-facilitator of a pain support group (PSG) for the Greater Sydney Region helps the group to: share their experiences of living with chronic pain, educate the group about self-management techniques and to effectively use healthcare settings. The PSG provides an avenue for people with pain to socialise with others and reduce the isolation of chronic pain. The group meets online once a month for 1.5 to 2 hours.
