Abbeyfield Garran is a not for profit which provides affordable, inclusive, homelike and safe accommodation for people with a mild cognitive disability where residents can maintain their independence with dignity and choice. The Garran house is run by a volunteer management committee and employs a housekeeper to provide meals and support the residents on a day- to-day basis. We have 10 young adult residents.

ACT Wildlife rehabilitates injured, sick and orphaned native animals to return them to the wild. Our interface with the public is our 24/7 phone. The day is broken into several shifts and you would be required to have our phone diverted to yours for a shift a week, a fortnight or month, depending on your availability.
