Way Finding Volunteers help families navigate their way around the Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH).Everyday QCH sees more than 1000 families come through the doors and the Way Finders are often the first point of contact for worried and often hurried parents, offering a welcoming smile and a gentle guiding hand.

As an Operating Theatre Recovery volunteer, you will work closely with staff to support the post-anaesthetic care of patients by providing comfort, as well as reconnecting and regulating caregiver visits. SchoolKits for Congo seeks Practicing Teachers to engage their own classes in rewarding student-scaled global giving, and to give feedback on our program and communications as they develop. The project serves mothers and school children in Congo who would otherwise be living in absolute poverty.

The brave solo refugee Mums who make SchoolKits for Congo also make beautiful buntings from bright African fabrics, and teach other Mums to do the same. We sell them in Australia and return the proceeds to the makers so that they can pay the school fees for their children to be educated. We are looking for stallholders who could add a product to their range, and for representatives who can show buntings to potential retailers and customers.

SchoolKits for Congo seek Student Advocates to invite their own school communities to engage in meaningful and rewarding global giving. Advocates will present the program to decision-makers, show them the positive impact that involvement can have on both givers and receivers, and connect them with the resources necessary to complete the first gift cycle. Advocates may also assist with local publicity for the event. Advocates may be current school students or recent graduates.
