As a HammondCare Life Story Writing Volunteer, your listening and writing skills will allow people who are living in our Residential Care Home at North Turramurra express precious aspects of their life. Your volunteer role is to capture, share, and record a person’s life stories, memories, and messages for loved ones. These biographies are then printed and presented to the Resident and/or resident’s family.

We are looking for creative and friendly volunteers for our Guildford Aged Care residence to assist residents write and create their life story books. Volunteers will be guided by the Occupational Therapist and Lifestyle Facilitator to create a space for personal reflection and connection through sharing life stories.

Use your own roadworthy vehicle to transport frail elderly to group/social activities.

We are looking for someone who enjoys gardening, listening to music and having a cuppa. Providing support to a lady who is need of companionship and friendship to enjoy common interests and join in on activities. As an Advocare Community Visitor Volunteer we are asking you to devote one hour per week (minimum) to supporting an older person in your community through conversation.
