Driver Volunteers
About this opportunity
Use your own roadworthy vehicle to transport frail elderly to group/social activities. We provide reimbursement for all out of pocket expenses, ongoing support or training opportunities. Please bring a smile to someone in need!
*Good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well to all people;
*High team spirit;
*Fluently speaking in Vietnamese language (preferred);
*Current Motor Registration for vehicle to be used;
*Manual Handling certificate (preferred);
*Basic First Aid Certificate (preferred);
Please Note: As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Volunteer Personal Accident Insurance).
Additional requirements
Driver's Licence (C) . National Police Certificate *.

*It’s important that organisations continue to monitor and follow the advice and guidelines of both State or Territory, and Federal Governments in relation to the latest COVID-19 requirements.
*As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Voluntary Workers Personal Accident Insurance).
*Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
Friday mornings from 9am to 1.20pm or as required.
