About this opportunity
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme seeks to improve the quality of life of residents in Aged Care Homes by providing companionship for those who are socially isolated or lonely. Our volunteers find this experience very rewarding and have the opportunity to build friendships with residents and other volunteers at our social events. This role requires a minimum of 1 hour per fortnight. Empathy for the elderly is essential as well as a desire to create a consistent friendship with the person in the aged care home. No physical care tasks will be required.
Additional requirements
Covid-19 vaccination . Flu vaccination . National Police Certificate *.
A police check is required however this is completed with you by the Volunteer coordinator at no cost to you.
