We are looking for Volunteers to join our existing force of 'Everyday Super Heroes' as a Weekend Warrior, at our Townsville House. In this volunteer role, you will be the face of the organization and the first point of contact for our families, volunteers, donors and visitors who walk through our doors during weekend hours and provide support in the event of an emergency. You will ensure efficiency of House operations at weekends, with 3 different 4 hour shifts available between 8am - 8pm.

You will be matched with families and tasks based on your experience, skills and interests and the family’s needs. We would like you to commit for 12 months and to be flexible when volunteering. The support you are expected to give will vary from family to family and may change during your time with us. We will provide you with adequate training and supervision.

We are looking for generous volunteers who are willing to visit a family for up to 2 hours a week at their home. You may sit with with the mother, share a cup of tea and provide a non judgemental listening ear. You may also engage with their child(ren) and be the difference in a mother's life where they transition to having a child or multiple children.
