About this opportunity
IFYS are happy to sit with you and fully explain the process and answer your questions with no obligation. We would ask you to attend some training which is designed to provide more information to assist you with making an informed decision. There is no pressure at all and not cost to you during this process. You will be eligible for a Blue Card, and we will assist you with this. Once you have completed the training and happy to proceed, IFYS will complete the application and engage an assessor to meet with you and write a report which you will be able to read and sign. You are then approved by the Department of Child Safety to care for children in any capacity you agree to. You will be supported by a Support Coordinator and have access to 24-hour support when you need it. You will be able to provide a safe and stable living environment for a young child for the length of time you have agreed. You will be part of team advocating for these young children in need of structure and nurture.
