The Manly Visitor Information Centre connects people arriving in Manly with activities, places, information about the Northern Beaches. It operates at Manly Wharf every day. Our steam tug Waratah built 1902 at Cockatoo Island badly needs help to maintain paintwork by removing and treating rust, then re-painting. Sydney Heritage Fleet is voluntary group dedicated to preserving, restoring and operating vessels representing our Maritime history. Sydney Heritage Fleet is a volunteer organisation dedicated to preserving, restoring and operating vessels which represent Australia's maritime history. They include Tall Ship James Craig, ferry Kanangra, steamship John Oxley, 1902 steam tug Waratah, 1902 VIP launch Lady Hopetoun, 1903 schooner Boomerang and several diesel motor launches.

In honour of World Oceans Day 2023, we are celebrating our marine ecosystems at Hawthorne Reserve in Ramsgate for a Sustainable Skincare Making Workshop with Sage Cosmetics Coaching. Join us on our journey to reduce our impact and learn how to create professional-style, zero-waste, natural skincare from scratch. A light catered morning tea will also be provided.

The Sydney Heritage Fleet Workshops in Rozelle Bay is a busy hive of activity. Our main restoration project is steamer John Oxley, and there are many regularly used vessels on which maintenance is essential. You will find yourself in a very happy friendly work environment where there are no cliques or feuds or jealousies. Just the keen desire to have the joy of having a productive day.

Sydney Heritage Fleet owns, restores and operates historic steam ships, sailing ships and many smaller launches. Our current major project is the restoration to full ocean-going condition of John Oxley a former Moreton Bay pilot steamer, 760 tons. You, the volunteer will be a skilled welder and steel fabricator to aid in the final stages of hull restoration, particularly the forecastle. Your team leader is gentle giant whose welding surpasses marine standard for boiler work.

Think you know all the moves on a chessboard? Volunteer your time and be challenged as you play the game with an elderly gentleman living in a residential aged care home in Darlinghurst.

We are in search of passionate volunteer artists to lend their talent and creativity to enhance the atmosphere of our facility. Individuals skilled in painting walls and pots to bring life and vibrancy to our communal spaces. By volunteering your artistic abilities, you will directly contribute to enriching the lives of our residents and creating a more visually appealing environment for all.

Community members come along on every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 9:30 to 10:30 for Knitting. For volunteers we request to arrive at 9am for the table and refreshments set up and stay till 12pm. Its a 3 hour shift. At Karabi Wentworthville centre.
