The primary functions for the role include: supporting the coordination and recruitment of volunteers, food donations and the administrative operation of FOFA; developing and maintaining relationships with agencies and supporters; and supporting the coordination of events and fundraising activities.

Outer East Foodshare collects donated, surplus and rescued food and delivers it to agencies in the Outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne that help families in need. This role will take responsibility for overseeing the deliveries and food collections including responsibility for food safety The role involves overseeing a team of volunteers who will pack, unpack food and may need to re-pack food into smaller units. Must also oversee the record keeping of volumes of food handled

Volunteers play a vital role in helping St Mary’s House of Welcome (SMHOW) to achieve its mission and provide invaluable support across many areas of the organisation. The purpose of the Reception Volunteer role is to welcome people to SMHOW and supporting them throughout their visit while being sensitive to their needs. In doing so, Reception Volunteers provide support and a sense of belonging to the service users of SMHOW.

Some food may need to be stored in the Hub for later collection. Help physically sort and pack food for distribution to the food relief agencies we support.
