Diabetes Victoria is holding a diabetes education event for the Vietnamese community on May 28, and looking for Vietnamese speaking volunteers to provide in-language support to attendees. We have 4 volunteer roles available. Responsibilities include assisting with promotion prior to the event, set-up/ pack-down of the event, supporting attendees on the day, and ensuring the event goes smoothly.

Very special volunteers are required to visit patients and their families in a home environment and provide companionship to the patient and respite for the carer.

It is a supportive program run by trained leaders and supported by health professionals. The role of an Agestrong Volunteer is to assist the exercise leader to run a safe and supportive exercise program, create a welcoming atmosphere by being a friendly face and helping clients feel more supported in the group environment.
