We are looking for Arabic or Rohingya speaking volunteers to provide language support to adult migrants and refugees attending our monthly Women’s Group in Zillmere. Volunteers play an important role in creating welcome, inclusion and belonging.

MiCare is looking for committed and enthusiastic people to volunteer in our Family Learning Clubs in Werribee and Laverton. The program aims to assist newly arrived young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds with their school work, basic literacy and numeracy skills. Must be over 18 years of age.

The Pilbara RYDE Program provides young people (16-25 years) who live, work or study in the City of Karratha with the opportunity to complete their 50 hours of supervised driving with a Volunteer Driving Mentor. Volunteering as a Driving Mentor may offer a rewarding experience through sharing tangible skills which serve to directly assist disadvantaged young people.

Volunteer Driving Mentors are required to supervise 16 to 24 Year olds to gain their 100 hours required for them to get their P Licence. Supervisor training and vehicles supplied. Volunteers are required for transporting of Young People and Children in care. Transporting will include from the Blair Athol DCP office to other Family contact locations, eg schools and libraries. Transporting of the children is with use of government vehicles.

We need drivers to collect prepacked boxes of fruit and veg. You don't need to do every week, you will be a part of a team and can do weekly/fortnightly or monthly. At CARAD, we provide our clients with fresh fruit and vegetables on a weekly basis. Our clients are Asylum Seekers, who do not receive Centrelink, Medicare or any support from elsewhere. Through the Second Bite program, our Pantry provides food security for the most vulnerable people in our community.

Through supervised driving sessions with a Volunteer Driving Mentor, Learner drivers of refugee background have the opportunity to work towards completing their 75 hours of driving experience and gaining their P Plates.
