We are currently looking for Parent Peer Volunteers to facilitate family peer support groups to parents and families in the following areas: Mandurah, Fremantle, Thornlie, East Perth & Midland.

MUST BE A PARENT OF A CHILD WHO HAS OR HAD DRUG AND ALCOHOL ISSUES. Supporting and mentoring parents of children with drug and alcohol issues.

The Family Drug Helpline provides information, support and referrals to people who have someone in their life using alcohol or other drugs. The helpline is staffed by volunteers. THIS IS A PEER SUPORT ROLE, filled by people who have personal experience of being impacted by someone’s substance use. This lived experience is the key selection criteria.

We are looking for volunteers in the role of Support Worker. The role requirement is to help facilitate and engage in the group program for people whose lives have been impacted by drug and or alcohol addiction.

In time of natural disasters impacting the Sunshine Coast region, Volunteering Sunshine Coast, with the Sunshine Coast regional Council, provides critical support to the local community with disaster recovery efforts. If you have an interest in being part of a dedicated team supporting people in times of need you can volunteer as a Disaster Recovery Volunteer.

We are currently looking for Parent Peer Volunteers to facilitate family peer support groups to parents and families. You may also be interested in providing telephone support to parents calling the service in distress on our telephone roster, As our service provides Peer Support, IT'S ESSENTIAL you have lived experience in this area.

Habitat for Humanity Australia is currently the largest and most active organisation in the Southern Highlands area mobilising volunteers to provide extensive, free, practical bushfire recovery and resilience assistance to disadvantaged members of the communities. No skills are required! Thanks to the support of our volunteers, partners and donors we have been able to support more Australian families recover from the bushfires and now help them prepare for future bushfires.
