This will involve organising, scanning and saving photographs from the archives, and carefully returning to archives. Our lawn mowing assistant role involves supporting refugee families who have just arrived in Australia. It includes visiting homes around the Corio/Norlane area of Geelong and mowing lawns. We offer this service for a limited period of time, whilst the family are settling into life in Australia and learning skills which they may not have ever had the need to do.

Friends of Point Peron is a small group of caring local volunteers who are helping Parks and Wildlife staff look after Cape Peron following the dumping of the Mangles Bay Marina on planning, not environmental, grounds. We grow seedlings from local native seed, plant them and tend them and deal with weeds. We'd love to have your help as often as you are free.

Mernda Repair Café will be the first community Repair Program for the community of Whittlesea hosted at the Mernda Community House and outdoor community space. The position purpose is to document the Repair Cafe events. To capture the fun on day, the wins for the day and celebrate our volunteer Repairers, Event volunteers and the Whittlesea community as a whole. We need great video footage to help document our program’s journey, clips used for publicity on social media and reports.

The Peace Garden is an outdoor classroom. We are looking for 1-2 people interested in primarily maintaining the area. There is a small amount of work to be completed but we would love someone interested in finishing the job and then being available to keep plants healthy and weed free.
