Way Finding Volunteers help families navigate their way around the Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH).Everyday QCH sees more than 1000 families come through the doors and the Way Finders are often the first point of contact for worried and often hurried parents, offering a welcoming smile and a gentle guiding hand.

As an Operating Theatre Recovery volunteer, you will work closely with staff to support the post-anaesthetic care of patients by providing comfort, as well as reconnecting and regulating caregiver visits. Provide support to parents and carers entering the operating suites at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. Volunteers help ease the anxiety of a child’s surgical journey by working closely with medical staff to provide information and emotional support to parents and carers.

We are a dynamic non-profit organisation; established to provide information, support and access to resources for people affected by limb loss. Limbs 4 Life advocate for people with limb loss and their carers to state and federal government departments.

At the Caboolture Historical Village we have many school excursions to educate our children about our cultural heritage. We demonstrate the use of a copper boiler to do washing, an old printing press, dairy equipment and blacksmithing. We also have a replica of the First Fleet and can give a talk about the first settlement at Port Phillip. We need people who can work well with children, keep them interested and entertained. All training will be provided.
