The homestead was built between 1862 and 1880 for John Maley (King of the Greenough Flats), miller, storekeeper, hotel proprietor, entrepreneur and father of 14 children. We need your help on Saturday 11 May in Brisbane to make a difference for Ukrainians displaced by war. Walk My Way Ukraine is a charity walking event in Brisbane, starting and finishing at QUT Gardens Point Campus. We need help with setup, registration and marshalling along the walking course. Setup starts from 10am, registrations open at 11:30am and the walk will operate from 1pm-5pm. A few hours of your time will make a big difference for Ukrainian children and families displaced by war.

We need volunteers to assist our Collection Manager with the on-going preservation of the Cairns’ important Chinese heritage which includes unique artefacts from the nationally significant Cairns Lit Sung Goong Temple Collection.

Live on-site at the Women's Museum of Australia within the secure walls of the heritage-listed Old Alice Springs Gaol! You must have own caravan, (max 2.9m in height) with own shower and toilet. In exchange, we ask for 6 hours on a Saturday and 6 hours on a Sunday and a few hours per week of general light maintenance duties and roster cover when needed with two days per week off, usually Tuesday and Wednesday.

Volunteers required to support the operational activities as directed by the OSU Group Duty Officer. This is a support role and can be undertaken by firefighting and non-firefighting personnel.

An onsite painter is needed at Albany's Historic Whaling Station. You may also work in the wildlife park, and you will assist the onsite maintenance team. 5 hours one day a week is required, and you will be paid $40 for your fuel costs. Onsite OH&S Training will be conducted.

Do you have a love of trains? We are looking for versatile volunteers and have several different positions to fill: Driver / Guard / Signaller / Maintenance Crew and the Kiosk. In each of these positions you can also assist with roles such as customer service, public direction, ticket collection, signal operation, guard, maintenance crew etc. and eventually the elevation to 'Train Driver' for those who are interested.
