The Ku-ring-gai Chase is a feel-good community fun run around the leafy streets of Wahroonga starting and finishing at Claude Cameron Grove. The event offers a 10km and 5km fun run, a 5km run / walk and a 2km Kids Dash on fully closed roads for all the family and for all abilities. As a volunteer you will be working across a variety of spaces - both our Autistic Young Persons Program and Siblings Program as well as participating in general duties that all team members undertake such as setting up areas for activities, packing away and light cleaning during a 6 day camp

Come along to our Play and Learn Playgroup at Moorditj Kulungar Kwinana. This session provides learning through play opportunities and a safe space for children and families to connect. The Playgroup is for children aged 0 – 4 years led by our Aboriginal Resource Worker, we provide opportunities for Aboriginal families who visit us to learn about the first 3 years of a child’s life and prepare them for school.

The volunteer will assist with the early literacy program Paint Bunbury REaD which encourages everyone to "talk, read, sing, rhyme, yarn, draw and play with children every day from birth". The volunteer's roles will include monitoring the book swap boxes, creating some resources and assisting at story time events.

We have a large suite of programs to offer the public. We are expanding into the City of Knox from Break 40 Cafe at 40/1880 Ferntree Gully Rd. We need local volunteers to assist us to recruit participants to our programs and to help cement these programs as regular fixtures for the local community. These are all groups with a therapeutic angle (eg men's & women's support groups, artistic expression opportunity groups like open mic nights, kids breakfast club or after-school safe spaces.
