We need volunteers to act as marshalls around the course making sure participants dont go the wrong way. It is an easy job but one that is crucial to the success of the event. We need your help on Saturday 11 May in Brisbane to make a difference for Ukrainians displaced by war. Walk My Way Ukraine is a charity walking event in Brisbane, starting and finishing at QUT Gardens Point Campus. We need help with setup, registration and marshalling along the walking course. Setup starts from 10am, registrations open at 11:30am and the walk will operate from 1pm-5pm. A few hours of your time will make a big difference for Ukrainian children and families displaced by war.

Volunteer with people with Down syndrome in a fun exercise program FitSkills FitSkills is an evidence-based physical activity program for people with Down syndrome. In this program the person with Down syndrome will be matched with a volunteer partner. Together they will exercise at their local gym, fitness centre or health club. The program runs for 10 weeks per term and participants go to the gym together once a week followed by a meal with other participants and volunteers.

Down syndrome Victoria runs a social group for adults with Down syndrome, we’re called Club21. Club21 has been going in Melbourne for over 10 years and we are very excited to bring Club21 to Warrnambool! Club21 goes out on weekends and does fun, social activities together: going out for lunch, singing Karaoke, watching a show. We are looking for volunteers to support the Club21 social group

Experience with Autism is not essential but you must be able to demonstrate a willingness to adapt as required. If you are currently studying disability, social work, youth work, community services, education, psychology, counselling, speech pathology or OT, we offer placements to complete your practicum.
