The homestead was built between 1862 and 1880 for John Maley (King of the Greenough Flats), miller, storekeeper, hotel proprietor, entrepreneur and father of 14 children. The Rockingham Kwinana SES Unit is made up of four sections; Rescue, Logistics, Communications and Operations, with each team contributing to the overall function of the Unit. Operations is the information processing area for SES. Much of our work is computer based. Our main role is to record all the details of emergencies into a database and track teams who are out on jobs.

Experience in retail work preferred but not required. Conductors and guards assist with loading passengers onto train, handling the sale of tickets, and assisting the driver with physical work as required. Role is seasonal.
