As a Social Inclusion Volunteer, you will meet elderly people and people with disability to support them in various roles. Volunteering is a two way street where your volunteer journey will bring you purpose and a sense of reward as you make a difference through your volunteer tasks and responsibilities.

We are looking for Meals on Wheels Volunteer Helpers who have a desire to make a real difference in their community. You will be working together with the driver to deliver nutritious meals to people who can't cook for themselves. It is a mandatory requirement according to Public Health Orders for volunteers to provide evidence of their COVID-19 and booster registration certificate.

Meals on Wheels deliver meals to older people and people with disabilities living in the Parramatta LGA on week day mornings. Drivers are responsible for driving to our Hunter Street office then to customers homes with a helper. Volunteers will need to have a full licence and own comprehensively insured car. It is a mandatory requirement, according to Public Health Orders, for volunteers to provide evidence of their COVID-19 vaccines and booster vaccine registration certificate.

The purpose of our Home Visit service is to reduce the social isolation of our clients who may be feeling disconnected from their community. Community Aid Volunteers at Lifeline H2HS provide social support for frail, aged people 65 years or older in the form of transport to appointments and activities, accompanied shopping, companionship visits, or social phone calls. One or two hours of your time each week could make your day and theirs.
