As a Social Inclusion Volunteer, you will meet elderly people and people with disability to support them in various roles. Volunteering is a two way street where your volunteer journey will bring you purpose and a sense of reward as you make a difference through your volunteer tasks and responsibilities.

We are looking for Meals on Wheels Volunteer Helpers who have a desire to make a real difference in their community. You will be working together with the driver to deliver nutritious meals to people who can't cook for themselves. It is a mandatory requirement according to Public Health Orders for volunteers to provide evidence of their COVID-19 and booster registration certificate.

Meals on Wheels deliver meals to older people and people with disabilities living in the Parramatta LGA on week day mornings. Drivers are responsible for driving to our Hunter Street office then to customers homes with a helper. Volunteers will need to have a full licence and own comprehensively insured car. It is a mandatory requirement, according to Public Health Orders, for volunteers to provide evidence of their COVID-19 vaccines and booster vaccine registration certificate.

Very special volunteers are required to visit patients and their families in a home environment and provide companionship to the patient and respite for the carer.

Do you have a talent in arts and craft and would like to help patients in palliative care?

Volunteers are required to provide assistance with social activities to adults with a disability at Chatswood Youth Centre.

Our Volunteers on our Social Outings Trips lend a hand in assisting our clients on and off the buses and to navigate their way around an exhibition, a garden or the theatre. Our outings are many and varied and you will have a great time. We are a friendly team and our drivers work alongside our assistants and carers to ensure we all have a lot of laughs and a lot of fun. We also reimburse our volunteers $30 per day to cover any out-of-pocket expenses.
