The Ku-ring-gai Chase is a feel-good community fun run around the leafy streets of Wahroonga starting and finishing at Claude Cameron Grove. The event offers a 10km and 5km fun run, a 5km run / walk and a 2km Kids Dash on fully closed roads for all the family and for all abilities. Sydney Heritage Fleet is a volunteer organisation dedicated to preserving, restoring and operating vessels which represent Australia's maritime history. They include Tall Ship James Craig, ferry Kanangra, steamship John Oxley, 1902 steam tug Waratah, 1902 VIP launch Lady Hopetoun, 1903 schooner Boomerang and several diesel motor launches.

Sydney Heritage Fleet owns, restores and operates historic steam ships, sailing ships and many smaller launches. Our current major project is the restoration to full ocean-going condition of John Oxley a former Moreton Bay pilot steamer, 760 tons. You, the volunteer will be a skilled welder and steel fabricator to aid in the final stages of hull restoration, particularly the forecastle. Your team leader is gentle giant whose welding surpasses marine standard for boiler work.
