MDFA's Peer Support Groups provide a safe and welcoming space for people living with aged-related macular degeneration to share their stories and ask questions of their peers. The Peer Support Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a peer support group and/or demonstrate the ability to lead a balanced discussion.

We are looking for an Emergency Relief (ER) volunteer who is non-judgmental and can commit to attending every Thursday. Our ER Volunteers deliver a responsive and appropriate service providing equitable access to all members of the community. The position is responsible for welcoming visitors to the venue. Once Auditorium doors open, the Usher is responsible for checking tickets and helping patrons to their seats if required. The usher will then sit in the Auditorium for the duration of the event and provide assistance to patrons if required.

Located in our Ronald McDonald Family Room at Perth Children's Hospital, our Froomies provide support for families using this facility.

The Old Central Fire Station in Perth's historic Murray Street East precinct is home to the DFES Heritage Collection. The Collection helps to tell the cultural and technological history of the fire and rescue services in our State. Our Behind-the-Scenes Team assist in the auditing of the Collection and maintenance of entries in the database.

The Historical Society members are the Volunteer custodians and Guides of the Azelia Ley Homestead Museum and Wagonhouse museum, on roster for Sunday opening 1.30-4.30pm, and supervising the Museums for booked tours and school excursions, as they occur (Mon-Wed).

This is a great opportunity to gain qualifications as full training to qualification standard will be provided if required.
