The Bridge is always looking for volunteers that are willing to support people living with disabilities and disadvantaged backgrounds to enjoy a range of recreational and sporting activities. We have a wide range of activities that our participants can engage in and each activity is in need of volunteers to assist our staff and support workers.

We seek volunteers for our Bicycle Repair and Maintenance Program. Do you have good knowledge about bicycles and scooters? The Open House Bike Hut operates out of Malahang Reserve, West Heidelberg, and is a space for local park users to fix their bikes,  scooters  and skateboards.

We seek volunteers for our Clubwork Program. For some people this is their only social interaction during the week, so this is a crucial community service, and our amazing volunteers are truly at the heart of making this possible. We are looking for people who are kind and caring, and committed to our mission of giving friendship and support to those in need.

Do you speak Italian - we would love to meet you! At MiCare, we don't want anybody to be lonely. We are looking for female volunteer who can speak Italian to spend some quality time with an elderly lady who lives in Avondale Heights. Your visit may be spent reminiscing about the good old days and family, celebrating Italian festivities while sitting around having a cuppa or enjoying a leisurely activity like going for a short walk, do a puzzle, read Italian stories etc.

We provide food, a social network, fun activities, and assistance with referrals, in a place where people can feel safe and connected. Your efforts directly help consumers that need it most. At MiCare, we don't want anybody to be lonely. We are looking for volunteer who can speak Greek to spend some quality time with an elderly greek couple who live in Bentleigh. Your visit may be spent reminiscing about the good old days and family while sitting around having a cuppa or enjoying a leisurely activity like going for a short walk.

Volunteers will support participants with intellectual and physical disabilities. You will support participants and staff with a range of activities throughout the day including arts and crafts, carpentry, swimming, literacy, computer skills, sports, gym, exercising, dancing, basketball, yoga, walking, theatre group, choir, money skills, using public transport, gardening, cooking, barbecues, bowling, fishing and mentoring and many others.
