Art and Crafts Assistant
About this opportunity
The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of MannaCare.
Do you have the ability to sew by hand and would like to make a difference to the well-being of an older person? You will need to be available on Mondays 10am-12noon.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with early dementia to do some simple craft projects.
- (It is more about the process of making, not the end result!)
- All you need is 2 hours a week, on a Monday or Thursday afternoon, a positive attitude, patience, a love of art or craft and we teach you the rest!
Skills and Experience:
- Art or craft
- Patience
- Affinity with older people

Time Required
