We're looking for a kind, caring and supportive friend for some of our Italian residents at our Wattle Grove Community in Lalor. Whether you love to read the paper, sing & enjoy music or having a cuppa and a chat our residents would love to spend time with you. Volunteers will support participants with intellectual and physical disabilities. You will support participants and staff with a range of activities throughout the day including arts and crafts, carpentry, swimming, literacy, computer skills, sports, gym, exercising, dancing, basketball, yoga, walking, theatre group, choir, money skills, using public transport, gardening, cooking, barbecues, bowling, fishing and mentoring and many others.

The helpline was established in 2009, and is the only such service in Australia helping people living with pain. Guides have a personal connection to chronic pain and are able to support callers with chronic pain.

The group is a safe space for to help participants to share their experiences of living with chronic pain, promoting self-management techniques, reducing isolation and assisting with health system navigation.
