The day is broken into several shifts and you would be required to have our phone diverted to yours for a shift a week, a fortnight or month, depending on your availability. Join our team at the St Vincent de Paul Society and become a valued volunteer for our Kids Clubs Program! There is a strong focus on developing literacy skills and a love of reading through reading books together. Volunteers will also provide help with homework if required.

The Coordinator will commence as a dog reading team volunteer and after two school terms receive training to take on the Coordinator position. The Coordinator will recruit, train, support, manage and give recognition to volunteers within the region. The position will also raise awareness of the Story Dogs brand and services. This is a non paid, volunteer role. This role requires you to have a suitable dog.
