Our multicultural social groups come together each week for social activities, company and a meal. This role helps prepare nutritious culturally appropriate meals for our clients to enjoy together. We are looking to fill positions for our Vietnamese and Chinese group on Friday at 27 Rae Street Belconnen.

Educational Mentors (Tutors) provide 1 on 1 educational assistance 1-2 hours a week to vulnerable children aged 6-16. Most of the children/young people referred to us are about 2 yrs behind their age in at least English & Maths. You can help us break a child out of a cycle of poor educational achievement. Kids Friend mentors spend 2-3 hours a week with a vulnerable child aged from 6-16, for friendship and fun. You become a special person outside the family who supports the child's social and emotional needs with an aim to increase the child's confidence, personal skills and resilience. You can take the child to visit places within the community or your own home to bake, play video games, or just hang out. ACVVS volunteers will provide regular friendship and companionship to socially isolated aged care recipients through one-on-one or group in-person visits. To ensure the best experience for all involved, volunteers will receive training and support from our Volunteer and Engagement Coordinator throughout the program.
