The Volunteers Hub at Diamond Valley Community Support is advertising this volunteer role on behalf of Lower Plenty Dance Group, a small not-for-profit volunteer organization running live and online weekly dance for people with intellectual disabilities. The Committee meets every second month on the 3rd Thursday for approx 2 hours to manage the dance group affairs.

The Mover supports the dance class teacher to ensure each participant is engaged, learning and receiving valuable and personalised feedback, and can access the full benefits of the program.

Are you passionate about creating positive change to your community? Merri Mates is a 1-on-1 social outreach program that supports people with mild to moderate disabilities. Participants experience social isolation, so volunteers provide them with companionship and support to engage in a variety of activities tailored to their hobbies, interests, and abilities. You’ll gain valuable experience volunteering with the Merri Mates program and make a difference to the lives of others.

As a volunteer walking buddy, you will be helping a blind and hearing impaired male get out of the house, reintroduce more physical activity into his life and feel socially connected. Flexible with days and 1 hour time commitment per week.

Volunteer with people with Down syndrome in a fun exercise program FitSkills FitSkills is an evidence-based physical activity program for people with Down syndrome. In this program the person with Down syndrome will be matched with a volunteer partner. Together they will exercise at their local gym, fitness centre or health club. The program runs for 10 weeks per term and participants go to the gym together once a week followed by a meal with other participants and volunteers.

Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria is currently seeking a volunteer to accompany a quiet lady who is vision impaired on fortnightly walks in her local area of Essendon for 1-2 hours. You need to be available on either a Friday afternoon or Tuesday day-time to apply. Help this lady explore her suburb, keep fit and feel socially connected!

Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria is currently seeking a volunteer to accompany a lovely lady who is blind on weekly walks in her local area for about 1 hour. You need to be friendly, reliable, enjoy walking and be available either Thursday am or anytime Saturday. Help this lady explore her suburb, get fit and feel socially connected!

Freedom Solutions Australia are looking for technical volunteers to design, make/modify equipment for people with a disability. If you are an engineer, tradesman, upholsterer or expert "handyperson" this could be an ideal volunteering role for you. Note, you need to access a workshop and tools as facilities aren't provided at our central office. You are able to make or modify the equipment in your own time, there are no set days or times to volunteer. It's very flexible!
