Want to help people with disabilities succeed in finding paid work? As an Employment Coaching Assistant, you can be a mentor to people and assist them in reaching their employment goals.
The Bridge Employment works with participants towards obtaining paid employment. As an Employment Coaching Assistant, you will be directed by the course trainer and staff as needed.
This is a classroom assistant role, supporting the trainer to prepare adults with disabilities in the skills used to set goals, seek, find and succeed in paid work. Some volunteers may wish to assist on the job at our factory.
Your volunteer role as a coaching assistant involves: • Assisting trainees one-on-one with their understanding, their written tasks, research, role-plays, motivational discussions, job ideas, other classroom assistance as directed by the group trainer • Sharing your experiences and advice as a job seeker and member of the workforce yourself • Some basic administration duties may also be required
