As a mentor at our Camp Magic program you are required to support a child camper during camp. Providing emotional and physical support and helping create a safe space where each camper can feel validated and heard.

As a volunteer support team member you will be tasked with supporting any general duties and activities at the direction of the Program Co-ordinator.

As a Talk Time Facilitator at our Camp Magic program you are required to lead a group of children and volunteer mentors in a formal setting to achieve the set and required outcomes of each program. You will assist with any extra needs that may arise by group attendees and provide a suitable report at the conclusion of the camp weekend.

Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation (AKKF) supports young people aged 8-18 years who are living in a family impacted by mental illness. Our three core programs include: Camps, Activity Days, and online “Connect” sessions. Volunteers can choose which programs they participate in depending on their interest and availability. When on program, AKKF volunteers engage with and support young people to participate in the activities, connect with their peers and have fun.
