Animal Care Australia is a national incorporated association representing the interests of all animal hobbyists. The association has a strong committee composed of Species Representatives for each major animal group – dogs, cats, birds, fish, horses, insects, reptiles, farm animals, small mammals, native mammals and mobile educators. RDA is a voluntary organisation providing equine-assisted activities for people with disabilities to develop and enhance abilities through programs such as riding, dressage and carriage driving. Horses provide vital mental and physical stimulation for our disabled participants, improving their confidence, increasing their autonomy and delivering immeasurable amounts of pleasure. As volunteer Grants Officer, you will manage the Fauna Rescue Grand Program as well as identify and secure new grants and manage through to completion.

The Policy Writer is member of the SOWFI Governance and Policy Sub-Committee. The position works together with the Sub-Committee and the Board Secretary to support the preparation of both internal and public facing documents, including organisational policies, public facing position statements, responses to government inquiries, and other documents which advocate for the conservation, rescue and rehabilitation of native wildlife in line with SOWFI’s objectives.

The volunteers assist riders with leading horses or walking along side riders/horses during their classes. All classes are designed and controlled by our qualified coach.
