Our steam tug Waratah built 1902 at Cockatoo Island badly needs help to maintain paintwork by removing and treating rust, then re-painting. Sydney Heritage Fleet is voluntary group dedicated to preserving, restoring and operating vessels representing our Maritime history. We own in addition to many smaller boats, the former VIP steam yacht Lady Hopetoun, ex-Moreton Bay pilot steamer John Oxley, and the mighty 1,000 passenger double-ended Sydney Harbour Ferry Kanangra

Sydney Heritage Fleet is a volunteer organisation dedicated to preserving, restoring and operating vessels which represent Australia's maritime history. They include Tall Ship James Craig, ferry Kanangra, steamship John Oxley, 1902 steam tug Waratah, 1902 VIP launch Lady Hopetoun, 1903 schooner Boomerang and several diesel motor launches.

The Maitland Hospital Volunteers Inc. are seeking expressions of interest from individuals who would like to join our volunteer team and provide comfort to our patients, their carers and assist our staff.

The services are required of a person to co-ordinate maintenance of the building exterior and interior and its immediate grounds. This will involve performance of some basic maintenance and gardening, as well as organising tradespeople and Council staff to carry out other maintenance activities.

The Sydney Heritage Fleet Workshops in Rozelle Bay is a busy hive of activity. Our main restoration project is steamer John Oxley, and there are many regularly used vessels on which maintenance is essential. You will find yourself in a very happy friendly work environment where there are no cliques or feuds or jealousies. Just the keen desire to have the joy of having a productive day.

Sydney Heritage Fleet owns, restores and operates historic steam ships, sailing ships and many smaller launches. Our current major project is the restoration to full ocean-going condition of John Oxley a former Moreton Bay pilot steamer, 760 tons. You, the volunteer will be a skilled welder and steel fabricator to aid in the final stages of hull restoration, particularly the forecastle. Your team leader is gentle giant whose welding surpasses marine standard for boiler work.

A Consumer Advisor is a member of our community who can voice a lived experience of health care at Western Health. They participate in committees, focus groups, projects and a range of other activities to ensure the patient perspective is always considered. Consumer Advisors are part of the Western Health community and should reflect the diversity of our community

Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) is looking for long term volunteers to support Australians affected by breast cancer. BCNA's My Care Kit is for women who have recently had breast cancer surgery. Thanks to support from Berlei, BCNA supplies specially designed Berlei bras and soft forms to those women free of charge. Researchers at NeuRA and UNSW are recruiting for a study to determine if Virtual Reality Walking is effective as a treatment for complete Spinal Cord Injury neuropathic pain. The treatment is home-based so people living anywhere in Australia can participate. Participants can receive a total of $200 for completing all trial activities. All VR equipment is provided!
