About this opportunity

Kempsey Museum is a highly regarded local history Museum located in a purpose built, architect designed building in South Kempsey Park. Tasks will include: regular inspection of the building interior, exterior and grounds, noting defects and prescribing actions; obtaining quotes for repairs or improvements if necessary. The successful applicant will report to the Curator and work with Assistant Curator to maintain the clean and attractive appearance of Kempsey Museum.

Kempsey Museum is accredited with Museums & Galleries Australia with a comfortable workplace ensuring an attractive and welcoming atmosphere for volunteers. A reward and Recognition Programme is in place.

The well maintained surroundings will add to our visitor experience resulting in repeat visits and referrals. A regular maintenance program will minimise possibility of damage to the building and its collections during natural events.

Time Required

Attendance will be for at least one full day per week 9-10am start finish at 4pm.

Training
