We need volunteers to drive children books at our office and warehouse, the books are needed for our monthly donation, to refill pop-up libraries in some regions of Melbourne. Our organisation aims to promote the importance of reading from early years and create a love and habit or reading.

We are looking for a Volunteer Visitor to connect with an older woman who cannot get out and about any more due to age related illness. This woman has given 6 years’ service as a volunteer, has limited connection with family, and is now hoping to have someone to chat with regularly. She is an animal lover & would love someone to talk to about everyday things.

We have a range of exciting artefacts that have been recently donated and need to be photographed and uploaded to our museum collection. If you have your own photography equipment and are interested in supporting this project, please get in touch.

We are excited to be expanding the Sir Donald Bradman research library collection with a donation of a significant personal collection in 2024. We are looking for someone to assist with the organisation and cataloguing of this new collection. We are also looking for assistance with the establishment of research library loan partnerships and processes within our broader library network and research librarian services on an ad-hoc basis.

We are embarking on the digitisation of a large historical collection of photographs into the museum collection. This will involve organising, scanning and saving photographs from the archives, and carefully returning to archives. The purpose of the Lifestyle / Creative Programs Volunteer role is to support the creation and facilitation of the Lifestyle / Creative programs and activities, ensuring residents are empowered and able to engage in activities of interest to them.

An exciting volunteering opportunity exists with Dementia Australia at the Cedar House Dementia Support Group on the Gold Coast. Volunteers along side staff get to support clients in a person-centred way, involving them in a variety of interesting activities that they are passionate about. Morning Tea and Lunch are provided and there is plenty of parking on site.
