The Volunteers primary role is to assist the participants to ride a wave! Each participant has a different disability which can either be physical, intellectual or both. Disabled Surfers Association - SA Branch assist them to enjoy the experience of surfing & ensure they stay safe & injury free in the process. A surfing background is an advantage for volunteers but not essential. However you need to be a physically fit, aged 17+ & be comfortable in the water for periods of up to 2 hours.

HorsePower Hills has provided recreational horse riding sessions for children and young people with diverse abilities for over 40 years. This is an exciting time for HorsePower Hills as it progresses building a new riding centre and expanding its riding programs to meet community need. Down Syndrome Queensland (DSQ) is organising for our young adults with Down syndrome to attend our Challenge Weekend Camps throughout the year and require volunteers to assist us with this event.
