POOPS WA is an incorporated non-profit association staffed entirely by volunteers. Our volunteers are police-cleared and have a Working with Children Check and provide a range of services including home visits, dog walking and transport to/from vet clinics or boarding kennels.
We cater specifically for people over 65 years of age – or palliative-care patients of any age – who have no relatives or friends willing or able to take responsibility for their pets in times of need.

We are seeking people to assist us with our horse based activities. A great opportunity to help a great cause and get some exercise.
A level of fitness is essential as you can be required to stand and walk for up to 1 hour in lessons. Each rider has a volunteer leading their horse and most will have at least one side walker in support. (C)

Each participant has a different disability which can either be physical, intellectual or both.
Disabled Surfers Association - SA Branch assist them to enjoy the experience of surfing & ensure they stay safe & injury free in the process.
A surfing background is an advantage for volunteers but not essential.
However you need to be a physically fit, aged 17+ & be comfortable in the water for periods of up to 2 hours.
