Take the lead in organising the premier event of the year for the Cambodian Kids Can Charity and other fundraising events. Make a difference to at risk young girls who benefit from our fundraising by having safe place to live, paid for education and tutoring and the opportunity to give back their communities and attend university. Events and Festivals We have many annual, as well as one off events that we need volunteer participation. eg; Australia Day Event etc.

Start any date that suits, as long as we are available. Minimum stay two weeks. You work 3.5 days each week. Days are long, from dawn to dusk, but the happy smiling faces of the animals around you will make it all worth it. Duties include daily cleaning of barns and coops, feeding, health checks, light maintenance work, monitoring herd movements and intensive care of ill, old and baby animals. Extra duties may be required when new there are new rescues or infants.

The Ashburton Community Centre runs many events and are seeking to establish a pool of volunteers who may be interested in lending a hand on a one-off or regular basis at our events. Events are a fun way to be involved, meet people and make a difference in your local community.

Red Nose Day is our headline fundraising campaign each year, raising funds to support the work of Red Nose in saving little lives and caring for bereaved families, and raising awareness for the cause. Darkness to Daylight is returning for its 11th year on the 29th - 30th May 2024. This signature community event will enter a new era at Queensland Parliament House, corner of Alice and George streets and it’s the only event of its kind to be held within these very special grounds.

Several helping hands are needed to re-vegetate a weedy reserve for the return of local native vegetation. We require planters and weeders to continue our revegetation work in The Susannah Brook Reserve.

As a volunteer you will be working across a variety of spaces - both our Autistic Young Persons Program and Siblings Program as well as participating in general duties that all team members undertake such as setting up areas for activities, packing away and light cleaning during a 6 day camp
