About this opportunity

  • Edmund Rice Community Services Camps are week-long residential school holidays programs that seek to provide a fun and safe place for kids (6-15) who have faced or are facing some form of disadvantage.

  • Our staff and volunteer camp leaders are trained to deliver an active and fun four day program for the kids where they can simply be kids, have fun, develop confidence and connect with others in a safe and supportive environment.

  • Volunteer Camp Leaders benefit from the new connections they make, the unique skills building experience, developing leadership skills, grow in self-awareness and social conscience, have fun with great kids and have break away from the everyday.

  • The accommodation is indoors and all meals, activities and excursions are included.

  • Note: Volunteers are asked to contribute a small donation towards running costs which you can find on our website details of which are in the return email you will receive when applying for this role online.

Volunteer training is conducted in Balmain for a half day on a Saturday prior to school holiday period.

Our holiday camps are held during the school holidays Mon- Fri at a Mulgoa NSW location. Finer location details provided following successful volunteer application.

Time Required

Training Saturday sat 6 July 9am - 12.30pm (half day) If you are unable to make this training date there may be an opportunity with sufficient interest to run another training session per-camp. Camp – Monday 9am to Friday 2pm 8-12 July
