Volunteer Beach Ambassadors will roll out blue beach matting and assist participants to get to water. (C)

The Volunteers primary role is to assist the participants to ride a wave! Each participant has a different disability which can either be physical, intellectual or both. Disabled Surfers Association - SA Branch assist them to enjoy the experience of surfing & ensure they stay safe & injury free in the process. A surfing background is an advantage for volunteers but not essential. However you need to be a physically fit, aged 17+ & be comfortable in the water for periods of up to 2 hours.

Not only do you get to experience the joy of looking after an adorable puppy for about 12 months – without any of the associated costs, you are assisting someone who is blind to live the life to the full by volunteering your time and care. Do you have 1-2 hours a week spare during school hours to help a young person in a Special school who is in need of extra support? This is a commitment to the end of the school year, commencing in Term 1, 2024.

Fortnightly Saturdays 1pm to 4pm in Secret Harbour. Our group assistants help young people on the Autism Spectrum with various social activities. Activities include arts, crafts, bowling, laser tag and more. This rewarding opportunity would suit those studying community services, social work, psychology etc
