Social Group Volunteers - Saturdays Mandurah
About this opportunity
Our social groups consists of teams of 4 volunteers to help with a group of 12 young people on the Autism Spectrum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting Group Facilitators during various activities by supervising the participants.
- Preparing materials and setting the environment for the session.
- Encouraging participants to interact with one another.
- Encouraging participants to participate in activities.
- Building rapport with both staff and participants.
- Record weekly observations, goals and case notes
- Other similar related tasks as required.
Desirable Skills:
- Team player
- Shows initiative
- Ability to care for children/teenagers/young adults with a disability.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge about autism (some training provided)
Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *. NDIS screening check . Working with Children Check *.

Time Required
3 hours per fortnight. Every second Saturday 1pm to 4pm
