    Habitat for Humanity Australia is heading to the South Coast to assist families in need with Bushfire Recovery and we need your help (no skills required!) The 2019 / 20 bushfires had a devastating impact for so many families that are still waiting for assistance. We will be helping families in Eurobodalla and Bega Valley over the course of three weeks in Nov/Dec. You can volunteer for one day, two days or all three weeks! It’s completely up to you.

    Join the team of local Volunteers who monitor and operate the Marine Radio for sea rescues. Full training and ongoing support is provided. If you have limited mobility and/or are in a wheelchair, the Geraldton Volunteer Marine Sea Rescue Group has a building to accommodate you, with a lift up to the second floor as well as wide doorways, low wall switches and easy to reach IT systems where you will look over one of WA's beautiful beaches and man the systems!

    Volunteers are involved in search, storm damage, rescue and cliff rescue and other emergency services. Training is once a fortnight, with longer courses being run over a weekend which involves everything needed to know on search, rescue to enhance skills. A program is set on the type of courses that will involve the Unit every six months and includes areas such as: Map Reading, Ladder Slide, Mountain Rescue, Chainsaw Operation, 4WD, Land/Search Techniques, Forensic Search, Basic General Rescue.
