The Kokoda Youth Foundation is a dedicated and passionate non-profit organisation committed to running experiential youth programs, which help young people gain physical and mental resilience, confidence, and instill in them the values of Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice through the story of the Kokoda Campaign in 1942. There is a range of volunteer opportunities both in and around Newcastle. No skills are required! Teams are mobilised to conduct landscaping, painting and minor repairs to homes and crisis accommodation.

Habitat for Humanity Australia is currently the largest and most active organisation in the Southern Highlands area mobilising volunteers to provide extensive, free, practical bushfire recovery and resilience assistance to disadvantaged members of the communities.
