Want hands-on work that actually helps the environment? We grow local native (indigenous) plants from seed or cuttings for revegetation projects or local gardens. Our retail area is open to the public for plant sales. More indigenous plants in gardens and larger revegetation projects provide habitat for native animals, birds and insects, and reduce species loss. We rely on volunteers but lockdowns hit us hard. Please help us get back to the thriving nursery from before the pandemic!

A Local Coordinator must live within 2 hours of where a student is living. If you are interested in other cultures, young people and families, this role is perfect for you. The Department for Child Protection Volunteer Driver would transport children and young people to and from family contact, appointments and may also assist with learner driver training. Some out of hours, long distance and overnight travel may be required.

Our Port Kennedy Containers for Change depot is a not-for-profit, this means we are an organisation driven by a purpose, not profit, and our purpose is to create opportunities for people to get into work. Containers for Change is the 10c refund recycling scheme that has been introduced to Western Australia. The Bridging the Gap – Port Kennedy depot receives eligible recyclables for the Rockingham region, keeping them out of landfill.
