Community Visitors uphold the Human Rights of people living in supported care. They visit accommodation facilities and monitor and report on the adequacy of services provided. This role is ideally suited to individuals who are able to visit during day-time hours or late afternoons and who can make a commitment of two years. Training will be provided to support you in the role.

Peer support occurs when people with similar life experiences provide knowledge, experience, emotional, social or practical help to each other. VALID’s Peer Action Groups (PAG’s) provide an opportunity for people with disabilities to meet on a regular basis in their local community. The Bridge Employment works with participants towards obtaining paid employment. As an Employment Coaching Assistant, you will be directed by the course trainer and staff as needed.
