Way Finding Volunteers help families navigate their way around the Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH).Everyday QCH sees more than 1000 families come through the doors and the Way Finders are often the first point of contact for worried and often hurried parents, offering a welcoming smile and a gentle guiding hand.

The group is a safe space for to help participants to share their experiences of living with chronic pain, promoting self-management techniques, reducing isolation and assisting with health system navigation.

We're looking for a community spirited person who is interested in giving back to others. In this role, you will facilitate a community group on a monthly basis, creating a safe and inclusive social network in the Tecoma to Knox Region. Experience with chronic pain or a chronic health condition is an advantage. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month in the Tecoma Uniting Church.

The co-facilitator of a pain support group (PSG) for the Greater Sydney Region helps the group to: share their experiences of living with chronic pain, educate the group about self-management techniques and to effectively use healthcare settings. The PSG provides an avenue for people with pain to socialise with others and reduce the isolation of chronic pain. The group meets online once a month for 1.5 to 2 hours.
