The Library Volunteer Coordinator Assistant is the friendly and welcoming face of Genealogy SA acting as a delegate for the Genealogy SA Librarian and assisting with the coordination of the library volunteer team. The Library is the public face of Genealogy SA, and therefore it is very important that the library volunteers are skilled appropriately and provide a service that people will want to utilise time and time again.

This beautiful cathedral is situated at 56 Cathedral Ave Geraldton (corner of Maitland St). It is open to the public from 7.00am until 5.30pm, 7 days a week, except Public Holidays when it's open from 9am.

The Monsignor Hawes Heritage Centre (MHHC) is a state-of-the-art interpretive centre, within the grounds of St Francis Xavier's Cathedral, that tells the story of architect-priest Monsignor John Cyril Hawes. The Monsignor Hawes Museum Attendant will engage with visitors to help them appreciate the wonderful story of Monsignor John Cyril Hawes and to take the opportunity to visit the many places he built in the Midwest and Gascoyne region of WA.

You do not need to have horse experience to volunteer at APRDA but you could pick up some horse experience by volunteering with us. We are seeking people to assist us with our horse based activities. A great opportunity to help a great cause and get some exercise. A level of fitness is essential as you can be required to stand and walk for up to 1 hour in lessons. Each rider has a volunteer leading their horse and most will have at least one side walker in support. (C)

Maintenance Workers are responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and premises as well as ensuring facilities are tidy and functional. Ideally you would have some experience or sound handyman skills. The role can require a level of physical stamina from time to time, so you need to possess manual dexterity. You will join a team of dedicated volunteers who provide companionship and a happy team environment. This is a very rewarding role, in a beautiful and peaceful setting. (C)

The Volunteers primary role is to assist the participants to ride a wave! Each participant has a different disability which can either be physical, intellectual or both. Disabled Surfers Association - SA Branch assist them to enjoy the experience of surfing & ensure they stay safe & injury free in the process. A surfing background is an advantage for volunteers but not essential. However you need to be a physically fit, aged 17+ & be comfortable in the water for periods of up to 2 hours.

Volunteers required for gardening, propagation of plants for nursery and general maintenance of a unique and historic Homestead. Days required Mondays and Tuesdays 8.30am to 2.30pm. Great opportunity to make new friends and give back to the community. Centrelink approved.

Volunteers required to assist with the day to day running of a unique Museum and Historical Society. Kitchen staff required to assist with service of Devonshire Teas and light Lunches (eg. sandwiches/quiche/chicken and salads) as requested for small group bookings. The VisAbility Library provides talking books for people living with blindness, low vision or a print disability. We are on the lookout for people who are interested in volunteering at our specialised Library. This is a great opportunity for tech-minded people and also those with library backgrounds to learn about cassette audio restoration, editing, and producing talking books for people with print disabilities.

At the Caboolture Historical Village we have many school excursions to educate our children about our cultural heritage. We demonstrate the use of a copper boiler to do washing, an old printing press, dairy equipment and blacksmithing. We also have a replica of the First Fleet and can give a talk about the first settlement at Port Phillip. We need people who can work well with children, keep them interested and entertained. All training will be provided.

Customer service and food preparation in our cafe and tea room. Meals are simple and easy to prepare and all necessary training will be provided. No previous experience is required.
