Publicity Coordinator

About this opportunity

The Jarrahdale Heritage Society are seeking a dynamic team member or the role of Publicity Coordinator. You will be reporting to the President, and the Executive Committee and be a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting Jarrahdale Heritage Society Inc. The successful candidate will help forge new relationships to build our visibility, and impact.

Your responsibilities will be, but not limited to: • Ensuring the group and its’ sponsors receive the widest possible media coverage. • Help and develop and implement a public relations plan that will better market and promote Jarrahdale Heritage Society Inc. • Write and issue regular media releases concerning upcoming events, group activities and achievements. • Develop and maintain a close working relationship with all local media personnel. • Create a positive public awareness of the group and its activities.

Covid-19 vaccination .

Position Requirements include: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; Strong organisational skills; Ability to work both independently but also as a team player and high energy and passion for our mission is essential.

As the role is primarily virtual or home-based, you will (at your own epense) need a reliable computer, reliable mobile phone, reliable internet and a Facebook account.

Experience with building, maintaining and updating a website, supporting the JHS Mission Statement and following guidance as set out in our volunteer's handbook, code of conduct and constitution.

Time Required
