We are seeking volunteers to assist in helping build awareness and understanding of real situations facing people seeking asylum in Australia. Volunteers will be required to attend schools during school hours.

We are looking for local guides and members of the community to meet with newly arrived families to help them learn about their new surroundings and their responsibilities as tenants. Volunteers who can communicate with clients in the basics of English and provide transport.
When a natural disaster strikes or an emergency situation arises, DFES’s State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers can be found providing a wide range of volunteer services to help the community cope from the impact a disaster. This involves providing emergency repairs on buildings, to restoration of essential services and ferrying cargo and passengers across flood waters. Helping the community to recover by responding to natural disasters is only part of SES’ responsibility.
The SES Mandurah are looking for young people to join their youth cadet program to have fun with other young people in the community, while also developing new skills and participating in exciting training opportunities.
