Access Sydney (ASCT) is seeking Social Support Volunteers responsible for providing assistance to ASCT clients who are in need of social interaction and to enable them to remain engaged in the community.

From working in the nursery and in our gardens. including the Community Garden, helping with our projects and events to helping in the office, our volunteers give a large amount of time. ECOSS welcomes corporate groups of all ages and abilities to come and discover the riches of ECOSS and enjoy facilitated team building and skill building sessions and our unique Wellbeing Program. Come and be inspired by the beautiful grounds while learning about sustainability and simple practical ways you can reduce your ecological footprint and help us with the many tasks needed such as Bed preparation, Composting, Weeding, Mulching and Pruning.

As one of the Repair Volunteers, you will assist visitors to the repair cafe to: * fix their broken/damaged household items. You will already have the skills to fix one or more of the following: * electrical/electronic/mechanical items * clothing/bedding/other * textiles, jewellery, toys, woodwork, metalwork, bicycles, * and/or other general items You will be able to provide advice to visitors about whether specific items * can be fixed & the parts needed.

We are looking for friendly people who are interested in making a difference in the lives of our community’s seniors by regularly visiting and being a social friend to individuals living in residential aged care in Fortitude Valley. In this particular role, a lady who grew up in former Yugoslavia would enjoy reminiscing in her first language and sharing a tea or coffee with you.
